Senior Practitioner – Telecommunication 2 – Labour – The DPSA

SALARY : R262 272 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : Three year relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or any
related three year relevant tertiary qualification in the field of ICT. N+ and A+ is
an added advantage. Two years functional experience in a Networking/
Telecommunication Environment. Knowledge: Public Financial Management
Act, Technical standards / procedures, Departmental Policies and procedures,
Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Batho Pele Principles. Skills:
Communication, Analytical thinking, Process improvement, Leadership,
Innovative.

DUTIES : Manage telecommunication resources within the Department of Labour. Liaise
with various providers to assist senior management on strategic decision making
on telecommunication related issues. Provide support, advice and
recommendation on procurement to the Department of Labour. Ensure effective
and efficient management of telecommunication within the Department of Labour.
Ensure that training is provided to the users of the Telecommunication PABX and
accessories.

competency assessment tools. Successful candidates will be appointed on a
probation period of 12 months. The Department reserves the right not to make
