As researchers we are tasked with the responsibility to understand this experience through the eyes of the customer. Companies, keen to understand how customers’ experienced their interaction, find customers are often busy, don’t believe they are really interested to hear them and customers find market surveys can be tidious. We require a freelance research psychologist to manage a portfolio conducting in-depth telephonic customer experience interviews, working flexible hours, from home.

You will only need a telephone, internet connectivity and of course your passionate self as well as a commitment to weekly interview volumes.

Responsibilities include:
Conducting telephonic interviews on an ongoing basis with the aim of connecting with the customer and obtaining their viewpoints, motivations, feelings and level of loyalty to the brand in each call
Approach each call in a neutral, and professional manner using an open-ended question format
Timeous commitment to portfolios assigned requiring interviewer to immerse him/herself into the portfolio to ensure maximum contact is made with customers (list provided)
Transcribing interviews to an online portal for coding purposes, capturing the essence of the customer’s feedback.

At least Honours degree in Psychology specialising in research or clinical psychology or a Honours marketing degree, with market research modules completed
Minimum two years’ relevant experience in customer experience market research
Qualitative consumer research experience essential
Proven interviewing skills (in-depth interviewing)
Excellent English writing and verbal skills are essential
