Job description
We are an insights research company looking for a mid-weight research executive that has experience working for a research agency. The research executive will be responsible for coordinating research projects with minimum day-to-day supervision, including all aspects of project delivery, project team management, handling relevant client communications and general queries. The incumbent must have worked on social media and digital research projects.

This role requires a candidate who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, has a passion for understanding consumer behaviour and can manage multiple research projects and client accounts involving both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Key performance areas
Consulting clients about project requirements and objectives
Designing research methods such as interviews and questionnaires
Carrying out qualitative or quantitative research
Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and potential solutions in relation to company products and business objectives
Agreeing timescales and budgets
Monitoring work progress
Writing reports, including client recommendations
Analysing, translating and presenting results
Advising clients on how they can best make use of results
Ability to work accurately under pressure (to meet deadlines etc.) demonstrating a logical and methodical approach to dealing with workloads

Requirements
• Minimum three years’ experience as a research executive (or equivalent) in a market research company.
• Minimum three years’ practical experience and understanding of the research process in order to coordinate a research project from beginning to end.
• Must have completed a degree in marketing or research.
• Must have a strong social media and digital background.
• Understanding of basic methodologies and techniques to provide input into research design.
• Must have a strong marketing strategy background.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information in a persuasive and accurate way, both orally and in writing.

Advantageous
• Excellent desktop research skills or mining existing data/research
• Past field research exposure or experience
• Experience in ethnography research
• Understands at least two South African language
• Knowledgeable about SA’s provinces and their differences to each other
