Project Coordinator – Wits University – Johannesburg

Brief Description
Key responsibilities
· Manage, facilitate, collaborate and co-ordinate the project delivery process with the lifecycle framework;
· Maintain relevant project documentation (e.g. the project charters, plans, strategy, scope and objectives;
· Identify and manage dependencies between project charters;
· Develop ways in which PMO can be digitalised keep abreast of project management best practices, trends, and technology;
· Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas;
· Assist and work with Team Leads to collect and analyse data from project charters and;
· Update school information on SharePoint.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills and delegate / client relations;
• Strong people management skills;
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and in the delegate / client service spotlight;
• Good computer literacy with strong MSOffice suite skills;
• Maturity in dealing with colleagues and students in difficult situations;
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level and;
• Developing and improving administrative systems.

Knowledge, skills and attitude
• Honours Degree (Business Science, Engineering, Business Management and Computer Science) preferably Masters and;
• At least 1 to 3 years in a project/ programme coordinator or administration arena, preferably within a higher education institution;

Additional details
• Ideally at least 1-3 years’ experience in the relevant field and;
• Knowledge of the university systems and policies.
