The School of Economics and Finance (SEF) is one of six schools in the Faculty of Commerce, Law, and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand. The school offers an active research environment and unrivalled access to industry and international bodies, as a result of being in the country’s industrial heartland. SEF invites applications for the above positions with a research focus or foci on one or more of: Macroeconomics and/or Energy/Environment/Resource Economics.

Brief Description
Applicants are required to have a PhD degree in Economics, a well-developed research and publication record, and experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Previous leadership roles in an academic environment and experience with fund raising for research will be an added advantage.
The successful applicant will be expected to: • Actively participate in research • Teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses • Participate actively in the running of the school
