Brief Description
Key performance areas
Support Educational activities at Medical School
· Lecturer for all three BCMP Courses: SCMD1001, SCMD2001, SCMD3003
· Teach Skills in skills laboratory for all three courses
· Assist in Test /exam preparation, invigilating, marking including written theory & OSCE clinical exams
· Assist with eLearning activities, ULWAZI/ CANVA, Tablet use, etc
· Assist with data capture (Tests, OSCEs, attendance, etc)

Support Clinical training activities at Clinical Site
· Coordinate teaching, training & learning at a clinical site
· Teach clinical bed-side learning
· Facilitate small group activities: PBLs, TBLs, P2Ps
· Conduct clinical evaluations: Mini-CEX, Preceptor Evaluations
· Mark Students ePortfolio Assignments
· Assist with tutoring students
Support Research activities related to BCMP
· Design, implement and write Research projects
· Support Data collection, questionnaires, interviewing, etc
Academic involvement
· Curriculum design
· Timetable, scheduling
· Editing teaching materials, study guides

Minimum requirements to apply for this position:
BCMP (Clinical Associate) / An MBBCh / Nursing qualification (preferably PHC-trained) / Degree in health sciences
Minimum 2-3 years clinical practice with direct patient contact
Research experience
Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel essential, further knowledge of information technology and experience of e-learning would be advantageous
Code 8 driving license and own transport essential

· Positive work attitude and keen to engage with students
· Self-motivated, able to work independently and work as part of the clinical associate team
· Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
· Good interpersonal skills, tactful, respectful and non-judgmental and punctual
