Job summary:
The marketing data scientist is responsible for the analysis, creation, and optimization of tools, processes, and algorithms to parse and interpret large amounts of information for specific marketing applications targeting client business needs. This role would lead the planning and implementation of deep analytical processes, aggregating and analysing data across multiple platforms and data sets, and developing actionable insights for the optimization of marketing efforts across clients.

What you’ll do:
Plan, develop, and lead organisational use of statistical and predictive modeling, machine learning, clustering and classification of data for the generation of client-actionable insights and strategies
Develop, read, and analyse data from tools including Google Analytics, Omniture SiteCatalyst, Mixpanel, etc.
Write algorithms for technical applications including web and app development, as well as other web and cloud-based hardware across a variety of verticals and applications
Develop models for predicting web traffic patterns, marketing budget forecasts, cross-sell opportunities, lead and sales accepted lead creation, opportunity amount and closed won deals across various marketing channels
Engage with business to understand data sources, business models and value drivers and to implement and measure business impact
Design and develop reports and dashboards to present data
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Estimate projects hours, timing and level of effort
Function well and maintain professionalism on tight timelines
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
Represent KPI Agency with excitement, professionalism and integrity

Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
Deep understanding/demonstrated mastery of:
Statistical analysis environments such as R, scikit-learn, MLlib, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS
Website analytics tools such Google Analytics, Omniture, Mixpanel etc.
Data architecture
Analytics infrastructure architecture
Data sourcing and modelling
Interactive data exploration and data-driven storytelling
Machine learning/predictive modelling/data mining
The ability to leverage strong existing relationships, and develop new ones easily
Strong programming expertise, statistical techniques, data analysis and reduction, qualitative and analytic experience
Exceptional written, communication and interpersonal skills
A high degree of integrity
A self-directed approach, comfort with autonomy, and a commitment to greatness

Qualifications:
Three to five years of hands-on working experience with Tableau, Python, R, SAS, SQL and database structures
Masters or BSc degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science or Mathematics. MSc preferred or equivalent working experience
PhD or Master’s Degree in operations research, applied statistics, applied mathematics, physics, data mining, machine learning or a related quantitative discipline
Development experience in order of preference: Python, C/C++, Java
